Nadine Merabi SS 2013 Launch

Celebrities, designers and supporters gathered for the launch of Nadine Merabi’s fantastic Spring/Summer 2013 collection (Thursday 4^th April). 

 The evening, hosted by Coronation Streets Catherine Tyldesley, and supported by celebrities such as Michelle Collins, Lucy Mecklenburgh, and Brooke Vincent showcased 1960’s inspired outfits, welcoming the Summer with bold, vibrant blocks of colour.

Created with Bourjois products, the Cassie Lomas Makeup Academy events team created a modern interpretation of the 60’s look with classic Twiggy-style underlashes. This reflected the Nadine Merabi collection, through the use of fun, pops of colour.

 Similarly, in line with the 60’s infused theme, Reuben Wood and his team opted for classic beehive styles to compliment the collection.

The collection included hounds-tooth check, Nadine’s signature look, the floor length, and fun citrusy mini dresses.

Here are our Top Three Products used at the Nadine Merabi Launch:
- Bourjois Liner Pinceau eyeliner,
- Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick
- Bourjois Volumising Mascara

The key to this look is creating graphic lines using monochromes to create that authentic 60's feel. For white eyeliner, try using an eye shadow wet, and then painting on using an angled brush.

To create that doe eyed 'Twiggy' look, use lower lashes for added drama.

In order to maximise the impact of bold lip colours, apply the colour blot and reapply, this will also ensure that it lasts longer! 

What an absolutely fantastic night! And a fantastic opportunity for the girls to gain some invaluable experience at a really high profile launch. I was so proud of them all, they worked on a strong brief, and the models looked absolutely stunning. They really played their part in making Nadine's launch the massive success that it was!!
