London Fashion Week

This week brings the excitement, inspiration and drive that being in the fashion industry requires......
The anticipation of the shows has London going crazy in the run up and I am so thrilled I got to be a part of it.

As make up designer for the Clements Ribiero show on behalf of the Make Up brand Bourjois I got to work alongside the designers and hair genius Sam McKnight to create the look for their SS13 catwalk show.

The collection was based on Suzy Bishop from the film 'Moonshine Kingdom' and the description of the final range was 'off kilter chic'.

I wanted the make up to compliment this so I went for a 60's inspired blue as the focus of the look. The skin was natural and fresh so the raw beauty of the models still shone through. Brows were brushed up and sprayed into a full shape and lips were pared down to take out any natural redness.

I mixed the Bourjois Healthy mix serum with the flower perfection primer to get an evan skin tone with minimum coverage. To create the blue eyelids I used the metallise pencil liner mixed in with the Healthy mix brush concealer to create a cream eyeshadow. This was applied with my fingers on the lower lid and set with a blue shadow.

The look was effortless and was supposed to represent a young girl who was a little rebellious and doesn't really care. It was as if she just used her mums shadow pot and dipped her finger in to create a smudge over the eye. She never intended to but she ended up making a huge statement with such an amazing vibrant colour on the eye........ It was unintentional but impactful.
